Vendor Requirements

We maintain high standards to ensure drivers receive reliable help when they need it most. Below are the minimum requirements to become and remain an approved vendor in our network.

1. Legal & Insurance

  • Valid business license
  • General liability insurance ($1M minimum recommended)
  • Proof of commercial auto coverage for mobile service trucks
  • Workers' compensation (if you have employees)
  • On-hook/cargo coverage (required for towing providers)
  • Garage keepers insurance (required for shops storing vehicles)
  • MTS listed as an additional insured

2. Service Capabilities

  • Provide roadside or mobile repair, towing, or tire service
  • Respond to jobs within 30–60 minutes whenever possible
  • Ability to upload photos and complete digital forms via app
  • Minimum 1 year commercial truck service experience
  • Capacity to service common commercial truck brands

3. Communication

  • Reliable phone number and SMS contact
  • Vendor portal access with notifications enabled
  • Smartphone with data plan to run MTS app
  • 24/7 service optional but preferred
  • Ability to provide real-time service updates

4. Professional Conduct

  • Technicians must wear professional attire
  • No-show or poor performance results in warnings or deactivation
  • Customer satisfaction tracked via job feedback and AI review
  • Clean, presentable service vehicles
  • Courteous and respectful interaction with customers

5. Documentation

  • Submit real-time status updates and ETA
  • Complete job checklist (photo of damage, invoice, work done)
  • Upload completed invoices or use MTS platform
  • Before/after photos of repairs when applicable
  • Accurate record of parts used and labor time
Equipment Requirements by Service Type

Depending on the services you offer, you'll need specialized equipment to effectively assist our customers:

Mobile Repair Vendors

  • Service vehicle with organized tool storage
  • Basic/specialty hand tools for truck repairs
  • Diagnostic equipment (computer/scanner)
  • Air compressor and pneumatic tools
  • Basic inventory of commonly needed parts
  • Electronic invoicing capability
  • Safety equipment (cones, vests, etc.)

Towing Providers

  • Commercial-grade wrecker or flatbed
  • Equipment rated for heavy-duty vehicles
  • Chains, straps, and safety equipment
  • DOT certification and compliance
  • Proper lighting and warning systems
  • Communication system for dispatch
  • GPS navigation system

Tire Service Providers

  • Commercial tire changing equipment
  • Heavy-duty jacks and stands
  • Torque wrenches calibrated for commercial vehicles
  • Air compressor and tire inflation system
  • Tire repair materials and equipment
  • Access to commercial tire inventory
  • Balancing equipment (preferred)

Refrigeration (Reefer) Specialists

  • Refrigeration system diagnostic tools
  • EPA certification for refrigerant handling
  • Temperature measuring equipment
  • Specialized reefer repair tools
  • Refrigerant recovery system
  • Training for major reefer unit brands
  • Electrical testing equipment
